seafood asparagus ricecake

i cook dinner. william wash dishes.

it's been a while since i cooked. almost feel kinda weird. so i decided to utilize the ingredients in the fridge, my favs - assorted seafood, asparagus, rice cake, and salmon.

its funny. im still thinking: if im cooking and all of a sudden theres a duty call from work. would i run to office n not cook for poor william? mmhmm =P

questions about life

I just came back from the M&Ms (mentor/mentee) HKAW kick off tonight.
My mentor, Sabrina Villanueva, is amazing. The moment she spoke perfect mandarin in front of the crowd, I knew we would get along together. I can't wait.

During the kick off, we had a "speed-dating" session with 10 mentors and 16 mentees. We got one minute to answer one question at each rotation with a different mentor. Some of the questions tonight were simple, but they were questions about life.

1) if you were to be another person, who would you want to be?
- Angelina Jolie. Not only she has Brad Pitt, but she has a kind heart, beautiful children, and she save lives.
2) if you could own a superhero power, what would it be?
- control time like hiro from Hero.
3) if you had no restrictions on money/time, what would you do?
- travel around the world with William
4) if you were to be an animal, what would you be?
- this is a tough one. Penguin because once they find their other half, they stick with him/her forever. Panda because all they do is eat and sleep and roll around. protected from the hazardous wilderness and receive unlimited, free supplies of juicy bamboos.
5) if you could be a ice-cream flavor, which one would you be?
- mint chocolate. because i can refresh others with a little bit of sweetness.

these are just a few, but I thought they were questions that can get to know a person quickly. Effective questionnaires. Well done Andrew! (I'm proud of you. no wonder you're a "ng" =)

the HKAW director, Michael, said something that totally reminded me of my dad. He said, "life is about what you can offer, not what you can get. It's more about giving, and less about taking".
